Discovery: Lysithea is Jupiter 12th moon.  Lysithea was discovered by

Seth Nicholson in 1938.

Origin:There is very little known about Jupiters 12th moon. What we do know about

this moon is that it is named after the oceanus daughter and one of Zeus's lovers.

Oribit:Lysithea orbits in the same direction as Jupiter. The orbit period in days for

Lysithea is 259.22 days.

Size and Temperature:The mass of the moon in Kilograms is 7.77e+16.

The diameter of Lysithea is 36 kilometers around. Lysithea is 11,720,00 kilometers

from Jupiter. Lysithea is about 28.3 degrees celcius.

Structure and Composition:Lysithea is made up of rock and ice but 75% of

this moon is rock.

Origin of Body:This moon is believed to start out as a Asteroids orbiting the sun

about four billion years ago. This astroid then flew into a cloud of dust near Jupiter and

collided with particles within the cloud. These particles shattered the astroid and the

four biggest pieces got pulled into Jupiters gravitational field and became a moons

Interesting Facts: Lysithea is part of the outer moons. These mooons are split into

two different groups. The first group which is about eleven million Km from Jupiter.

These moons includeLeda, Himalia, Lysithea, and Elara. The next group is twenty three

Km from Jupiter. These moons incude Ananke , Carme, Pasiphae, and Sinope.

Notable Features: Lysithea is known for its extremly cold storms and for having

giant cradors from asteroids hitting its serface.  Its surface is  a yellowish gray color

but the interior of it is white gray with ice and dark gray with rock.

JOSH NOYES:i cnat tell if the progect was done on time. i cant find the history above is suposed to say there is no unaswerd qustions.they did a veary good job there is a lot of understandible infromation. ther is colars and photos.they included ever thing neade for tis progect. they did not laeve you with any unawerd qustions.or thinges that you wis you new about it. the one problem is the colaor the vocab links are blue on a blue back round. the other colars rete a nice contrast and make it aoealing to the eye.
JOSH NOYES:some stuff was cut and pasted like the numbers. yes all of the infromation is put in the page. it dosent leave you with qny answerd qestions
josh noyes:they included all of the neaded infromation. ididnot thik that all of the facts had to be labled exactly what they where. yees 6-8th graders could use it because if they donet now any of the vocabular it is linked to anther page. and it is all broken down into pecies so they can not get confused.there is only one mla citian after a big gap.yess she used some but the vacab is still in blue in a blue bacround so they are kind of hard to see. i think a lot of efert whent into this page to get the colors to make it stand out more so that peipke are more likley to read it.it also is broken down into neat sections so people can folow it.
