Galileo Galilei
(Created by Anna Compere and Others)

Galileo Galilei was an italian scientist and astronomer in the 15-1600s, (B. 1564-D. 1642) He is known as the father of science by many. He was not the first man to use and make telescopes, but he was the one would make them famous in the scientific field. Some of his greatest telescopes magnified over twenty times normal size. Originally he was known for his great telescope designs and technologies, which he sold to great lords and kings for his living. Until one day he, as a man who like to think outside the box, he pointed his telescope towards the night sky.
Galileo's other most famous discovery was that of the moon and the fact that it is a 3D object in space. He noticed that when looking at the terminator of the moon, it was not a smooth rounded edge. that it was infact bumpy. Galileo accurately mapped the moon and these mountains he had observed and because the moons light-side was not always facing the Earth, it gave him more reason to believe the Universe did not infact revolve aroudn the Earth
